Officials at WSDOT say this project is part of the
comprehensive corridor plan that provides for widening
U.S. 12 from the Snake River to Walla Walla, a corridor
that has experienced over 1,079 collisions resulting
in 414 injuries and 30 deaths since 1991.
According to WSDOT, the design phase is planned to be
completed by winter 2011. |
